The Public Service Commission (PSC - Lok Sewa Aayog) submitted its 66th Annual Report for the fiscal year 2081/082 to the Right Honorable President, Ramchandra Paudel, on Ashoj 5, 2082 (Sunday) at the PSC Central Office, Kamalpokhari, Kathmandu.
As per Article 294 of the Constitution of Nepal, constitutional bodies are required to submit their annual reports to the President. Similarly, Section 43 of the Public Service Commission Act, 2079 mandates that the Commission must present its report within three months of the fiscal year’s end. Since 2016 B.S., the PSC has been fulfilling this responsibility every year.
The President, through the Prime Minister, will table the report before the Federal Parliament.

President Paudel praised the Commission’s contributions in providing qualified human resources to Nepal’s public service. He expressed confidence that PSC is being a trusted institution among Nepali citizens and will continue to perform in an effective and reliable manner.

46 persons with disabilities
43 from backward areas
Since 2064 B.S., a total of 26,274 inclusive candidates have been appointed permanently.
17,492 positions advertised in Nepal Army, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, and 40 organized institutions
21,670 candidates selected through 728 written exam advertisements
22 consultations on service and departmental issues
6 civil servants recommended for departmental action
449 curricula revised or developed across civil service, security agencies, and organized institutions
The Commission emphasized:
Issuance of the Federal Civil Service Act without delay
Remote-area experience to be mandatory for promotion
Uniformity of facilities across organized institutions
Establishing a University Service Commission
Programs to uplift underrepresented communities
Financial and administrative autonomy of the PSC
The PSC is implementing its Second Strategic Plan (2080/081–2083/084) with the vision:
“Nation’s progress through the selection and mobilization of qualified, capable, and skilled human resources.”
Marking its Diamond Jubilee Year (2082/083), PSC will:
Conduct outreach programs across all districts
Strengthen cooperation with stakeholders
Promote public service to attract talented youth
